Greetings from abroad! I feel like I haven’t posted in a little while but I’m back and hoping to start blogging more. I’m transitioning from my iPhone over to actually using my SLR camera to shoot my images and what a challenge it has been shooting oneself on a camera. But here I am in all my glory, in high definition and it’s a little bit scary, seeing me and all my flaws in such high resolution. But then again that is partly why I started this journey anyway. Positive vibes and self love.
Bahia by Aubade has actually been on my wish list for a while but in white.
Then this multicoloured beauty came out and I was torn between two worlds, my thoughts were “Do I go for classic?” or “Do I go for fun?”.
Thanks to UK Lingerie I was able to try the “Fun” version of the Bahia set. I’ve seen the multicoloured version on many online boutiques but never IRL which kind of shy’d me away from it. Sometimes it is so hard to make decisions with colour when purchasing online, when a set is not a solid colour judging from product shots a set like this becomes quite a challenge. Would the colours turn out brighter in person?
I’m really trying to introduce more colour into my lingerie wardrobe this year so this is a great start, I’m feeling softer hues and pastel shades, think ice cream and candy floss, YUM!
To my delight the set was more charming than I had imagined, it was sweet. I received the bra in my usual size 34D and it fit perfectly. The pattern was made up of softer shades and looked like a spring bouquet of watercoloured flowers, or like someone walked up and threw a bucket of flower petals on me, but hey that’s cool.
Usually I’m a three piece set kind gal, if the set doesn’t come with a suspender I lose interest as I feel a little bit unfinished and I like to have the option of wearing the suspender depending on my mood and how much time I have to get ready before I leave the house. This set somehow gets away with it, it may be all the continuity throughout the pieces that strongly binds the two pieces together.
Close up of the strap details
Bahia is by far one of the flirtiest and fun additions to my collection, I love how all the details flow throughout the set. The scalloped edges in the palest shade of pink, the lace up bow accent on the center gore which also continues on both sides of the briefs. The main fabric is cotton with broderie anglaise details which are also pale pink.
The back of the bra is a classic two hook and eye clasp.
The briefs are a cheeky boy short cut which are my preferred style over briefs as they don’t cut into the booty. I’m wearing them in a size small and they just sit on top of my hips. I don’t know about you but I generally choose briefs over a thong because I feel there is more detail that goes into them however I cannot stand VPL!

The lovely lace up bow accents on both sides are also adjustable. These sit a little more mid rise on me than hipster which I like and they hug my figure very nicely, and provide all day comfort.
Beautiful scalloped edging on the briefs
The Verdict
Overall I’ve worn this set out a few times before reviewing, mostly for long periods and it did not disappoint, there was no twitching, itching or going around the corner to re-adjust myself. The bra itself was super comfortable on the first wear, it didn’t have to soften or break down after a few wears which I’ve had to do in the past. I’ve now added this flirty number into my weekly rotation.
Have you tried the Bahia set? What are your thoughts?
Till the next set.
