Little black hearts, sheer tulle and ruffles. How could I say no?
I don’t know about you but I’m one of those people who are really super organised about everything and always make sure my wish list is up to date. Some how though being super organised I always veer off my wish list and end up buying things that aren’t on there. This is one of them. These pieces are from Le Petit Trou‘ fall/winter 2018 collection.
I instantly fell in love with this sweet set during a pop up in Tokyo. Le Petit Trou’ pieces have been on my wish list for quite some time now, every single brief they design with their signature cut outs are super sexy yet cute. They definitely look better on the body than on display so make sure you try something on if you get the chance.
Le Petit Trou is a Polish company with designs to make you feel beautiful in your own skin. Their lingerie is made to feel barely there for everyday life which is why the pieces are so minimal and lightly structured. All their bras are unpadded as they want women to love their shape and the cut outs on the back of their knickers are their signature style. Le Petit Trou is designed and made in Poland with materials sourced from France and Italy.
Cerise bralette – €55
I don’t think anyone buys a bralette like this expecting support. I chose this one purely for the sheer prettiness it emulates.
The bra is made of soft stretch tulle with tiny little velvet hearts and consists of a front and back swan hook closure (so it can come apart into two pieces) and a slightly adjustable bra band with gold hardware. I’ve worn this out a few times for whole days. The mesh is really soft, feels nice on the skin and easy to wear. The band was quite stiff in the beginning but it softened up after about the third wear.
Sheerness of the bralette
As this was a total impulse buy I bought a size medium (which was the largest they had) and though it does fit I’d prefer it in a size large as Le Petit Trou suggest on their size chart. I just need a little more room in the band length, at the moment I have adjusted it the furthest it will go. The bralette is available in sizes small – large.
Back bra band with adjustable slider and swan hook detail
The self tie straps are a really cute feature. I’m a big fan of bows and this style is something I don’t already own. The bra does have a very annoying long tag that is actually sewn on vertically and hangs down when you wear the bra which I am not a fan of. I much prefer tags to be discreet and hidden.
Back view cut out details
The briefs, these really are what you want in a brief. Frou frou goodness and a fun little cut out. I purchased these in a size medium which fit nice and snug. The mesh is super soft and makes them really comfortable to wear, my only con is the super long tag that is also sewn on the front left side, it is so long that it sticks out from the waist band and is scratchy which ruins the overall comfort. The briefs are available in sizes small – large.

Claudette briefs – €50
Though there were a few details I didn’t like about these pieces, I could still live them at that price point (roughly $90 aud per item). The stitching could be neater and the tags should be smaller and placed in a position where they would not be scratching the skin. I do however am in love with the softness of the mesh and their flirty designs, all those ruffles, feminine prints and cut outs.
All Le Petit Trou items are packaged in matte black boxes with a black satin pull tab on one side.
