Time for some Loveday London! I just realised this is my first review for the year which has been well overdue. I hope 2019 has been good to you all.
I’ve been in love with Loveday London since the Seduction collection and sadly it is one of those sets I will be hunting for, for a long time. There was something about the way the silk draped and resembled bows with leather accents, it was like a marriage of two worlds. So I waited until they released another set I could be just as in love with, and they’ve done it with the Amazona collection!
Look at it! It was love at first sight, the beautiful rich purple fit for royalty with all the detailing. It was time, Loveday London was calling my name.
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate the packaging? I’m a sucker for pretty packaging and when a brand has taken it to this level it makes me even more excited to see the quality of the contents inside. A beautiful sturdy burgundy box bound with black satin ribbon, but that wax seal! Dreamy.
Loveday London combines elegance with just the right amount of edginess. Known for using soft Italian leather and luxurious lace their designs are unique and every piece flows beautifully to the next. I also like the fact that they are made locally in the UK. This brand is the very definition of hardcore romance.
For the first time Loveday London has included velvet amongst their details and it couldn’t have turned out any better than this. This set just oozes luxury. The AW collection was inspired by the strength of women, so there was no doubt the fabric chosen had to evoke boldness and femininity.
Amazona cupped bra – £150
The bra comes in an ouvert and a padded plunge which is a new shape for Loveday London. I opted for the cupped bra because I thought it would suit by my body shape best and I adored the velvet underwire. Corded lace tulle adorn the cups and the double straps feature silk and velvet. The bra band is part leather, part mesh and features their signature style, a fully adjustable band, gold sliders and a two hook and eye closure. I’m wearing the size large and though it fits, it’s not the most flattering and doesn’t really do much for my shape. The straps are too wide on me and therefore uncomfortable to wear, so after wearing it multiple times it will only be a photo shoot piece for me which is a shame. It’s actually the least favourite part of this set for me.
Amazona Suspender – £110
The suspender on the other hand is my favourite. As pretty as it is I’m glad to say it is more than just a decorative piece. It’s sturdy enough to be worn out all day without any issues as the first time I wore this set the suspender was no fuss for a full day out, that’s 8 hours!
Close up of the pretty details on the suspender
The bottoms, I cannot tell you how many times I have chosen briefs over a thong when it comes to completing a set just because they always fell flat in design. Loveday London have put just as much thought into designing a thong that is anything but boring yet still carries through the details of the rest of the set.
Amazona thong – £75
What I look for in a thong is a thick waistband and details, the way this one compliments the overall strap details of the set from the back is pretty harmonious. I’m wearing a size small, and the fit is spot on. The whole set comes in sizes small, medium and large. I referred to their online size chart when purchasing my pieces and found it accurate.
I’m quite pleased with the overall quality of these items you can tell such care has been put into creating these pieces just by looking at them. The sewing is neat on the inside as well as the outside, there are no loose strands of thread and the quality of the leather is buttery soft. The lace is definitely a stand out in both design and artistry. I have to say I’m impressed.
My order arrived to Japan in 5 days from when it was placed to arriving in my hands via FedEx express.
If you’re thinking of trying Amazona, be quick I’ve heard the cupped bra is almost sold out!
Till the next set,
Kisses From The Moon
